REGATTA UPDATES
RACING RULES OF SAILING, APPENDIX G
We would like to draw your attention to an issue that has increasingly caused problems for race management: poorly visible sail numbers.
Rule G1.2(a)(3) states: "National letters and sail numbers shall be of a contrasting color to the body of the sail..."
Rule G1.3(c)(3) states: “The national letters and sail number shall be displayed on the front side of a spinnaker but may be placed on both sides.”
We ask you to ensure that your sail numbers comply with these rules and are clearly legible. This not only makes the race committee’s job easier but also ensures fair and smooth racing for everyone.
Boats failing to comply with this rule may be protested.
DOCKING
This is a reminder that those docking at the City Docks will not be allowed to change slips, leave items on the docks, or prop open gate doors. Morning and afternoon ferry service will be available. Staff positioned at the gates will provide easy access to sailors each morning.
ORC CERTIFICATES
All ORC competitors must have a valid 2025 ORC Certificate from US Sailing submitted by September 1.

CREW DINNER

Crew Dinner is in the Main Dining Room of St. Francis Yacht Club on the evening of Saturday, Sept.13, 7:00-10:00pm, opening with a cocktail & appetizer reception at 5:30pm.
OWNERS DINNER
Last call for Rolex Owners Dinner on Thursday, September 11. We have a few spots still open! This is a beautiful cocktail hour and seated dinner hosted by Rolex and featuring a special guest speaker for all registered owners. If you need the invite sent to a different person/email, please let us know at racing@stfyc.com.
8 BELLS MEMORIAL SERVICE
We will have an 8 Bells Memorial Service starting at 8:30am on Sunday, Sept. 14 at the Regatta Plaza. We will have flowers available at the Dockmasters Office to toss while rounding A Buoy and on the way to the starting line for friends or family that have been lost.
SOCIAL EVENTS
Every evening will be full of social events for you and your entire crew!
The Competitors' Briefing will take place in the courtyard on Wednesday, Sept. 10 at 5:30pm, where we will announce the Perpetual Trophies, and which Perpetual Class will be racing for a Rolex watch.
Followed by the Rolex Commodore's Reception in the Rolex Regatta Tent at 6:00pm. The dress code is casual attire and everyone is welcome!
TUNE-UP REGATTA
You are invited to register for the Phyllis Kleinman Swiftsure the weekend of August 23-24, the tune-up regatta for Rolex Big Boat Series. And don’t forget there is a Best Dressed Award and a Cookie Competition!

WEST HARBOR DEPTHS FOR ENTERING STFYC DOCKING AREA
On May 28, 2025, San Francisco’s Recreation and Parks Department completed a hydrographic survey of the West Harbor Marina, including the entrance to and area around St. Francis Yacht Club’s docks and the city-owned marina docks.
