War is inevitably messy, but few battlegrounds are as civilized as St. Francis Yacht Club and its docks on the eve of the 55th edition of its annual Rolex Big Boat Series (September 11-15, 2019), where 79 polished teams and racing yachts have gathered on the waters of San Francisco Bay to trade nautical fisticuffs and determine dockside bragging rights.
The Rolex Big Boat Series always attracts world class competitors to the iconic San Francisco Bay. The July 31 deadline to enter Rolex Big Boat Series is fast approaching, and a whole new class of boat is now invited to attend. The crown jewel of St. Francis Yacht Club’s racing calendar since its inaugural 1964 event, this year fans and participants will witness boats racing on San Francisco Bay that are older than the regatta.
On February 18 St. Francis Yacht Club, in San Francisco, California, posted the Notice of Race and began accepting entries for the 55th edition of the Rolex Big Boat Series, to be held September 11-15, 2019.
